Terms of Service
Scope
These terms cover the supply of industrial and power equipment, and related components, by Steelgaard. The details of any given order, including items, quantities, price and delivery, are agreed in writing through a quote and order confirmation before anything is bought.
Quotes and pricing
A quote we give before confirming with the factory is indicative. We confirm a firm price with you before you commit to an order. Unless we state otherwise, prices exclude VAT and delivery. The price you pay is the firm price we confirm with you before the order.
Samples and quality
Before any bulk order, you approve a sample, or we arrange a pre-shipment inspection at the factory. If goods arrive not matching the agreed specification, tell us and we will work with you and the factory to put it right by replacement or refund.
Orders and payment
Payment terms are agreed per order, and a first order may require a deposit. We order from factories through the platform's Trade Assurance or escrow where available, so payment is protected against the order being unfulfilled.
Delivery
Lead times we quote are estimates rather than guarantees. They can be affected by production, freight, customs and other factors outside our control, and we will keep you informed if a date is at risk.
Liability
Steelgaard supplies goods sourced from third-party factories. We are not liable for factory or carrier insolvency, force majeure, customs or regulatory delays, currency movements, or market price changes. Our liability on any order is capped at the value of that order.
Confidentiality
Pricing, volumes and anything else you share with us in the course of a quote or order are kept confidential and are not passed to third parties outside what is needed to fulfil your order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Finnish law, and any dispute arising from an order is subject to the courts of Finland.
