Who we are

Steelgaard is a Nordic operating company based in Helsinki, Finland. The Steelgaard name covers two operating desks: Steelgaard Trading (direct factory sourcing for Nordic e-commerce brands) and Steelgaard Capital (distressed corporate asset advisory across the Nordics and DACH). Both desks share the same data controller for the purposes of this policy.

Data we collect

We collect only the information you voluntarily submit through our inquiry forms or by emailing us directly: name, company, email address, company website, role, and a free-text description of your inquiry. The form additionally records which desk (Trading, Capital, or general) the inquiry was submitted under, so we can route it correctly. We do not set tracking cookies, run analytics, or use third-party tracking pixels.

How we use it

Inquiry data is used solely to evaluate and respond to your request, and where applicable to keep records of an ongoing commercial relationship. We do not sell, share, or market your contact information. Submissions are processed through Web3Forms for email delivery, and an internal notification may be generated through Slack. Data is retained for operational correspondence purposes and deleted upon request.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise these rights, email contact@steelgaard.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Jurisdiction

This policy is governed by Finnish law. Any disputes arising from data handling shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
